Should a customer express concern that the air bag warning indicator illuminates temporary or permanently, the probable cause is a damaged restraints control
module (RCM). A stored mobile phone in the floor console can lead to radiation damaging the RCM. In conjunction with this, the air bag diagnostic trouble code
(DTC) U3000-00 (air bag warning indicator illuminates permanently) is stored in the RCM.
To rectify this concern, a new restraints control module (RCM) should be installed.
